NAMI Georgia Walks
Saturday, October 3rd, 2009
Tribble Mill Park, Lawrenceville, GA 30303
Join us for the annual NAMI Walk on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Tribble Mill Park in Lawrenceville, GA. This annual fundraising event supports our NAMI state office in Georgia and our local NAMI Northside Atlanta affiliate. The funds raised in our walk help support crisis intervention, educating families dealing with serious mental illness, CIT, and lobbying efforts at the state and national level. Your support is greatly needed and appreciated. This year, NAMI Northside Atlanta hopes to raise $15,000 with the support of our 150 families in our affiliate. If each family raises $100.00, then our goal is attainable. NAMI continues to do great things in Georgia, and with your fundraising support, we hope to continue our efforts. There are two ways help in this effort:
1) Donate online in support of a NAMI Northside Atlanta team and/or walker. Click here to go to the NAMI National website support a walker, form a walk team, or join an existing team.
For more information about participating in the walk or donating online call Bill or Marilyn Roberts, Team Captains, at 404-261-5003. See the links below for directions to Tribble Mill Park.
2) Participate and respond to our Walk Mail Out Campaign. We will soon be mailing to each NAMI Northside Member a packet containing 10 appeal letters. We ask that you send them to your family, friends, business associates, etc.
For more information about participating in the Walk Mail Out Campain call Jerry Bishop at 678-446-5080 or Gary Teller at 770-390-0443.
NAMI Northside has had great success with both fund raising methods in past Walks. With your help we can make our 2009 effort even better!
